that when I was talking to him, he was almost “shaking inside” wanting to hurry up and pray! Despite that, however, Tomáš didn’t have complete peace. Through that night he was still troubled and unsure. So, in the morning he cried out to the Lord, and that is when Tomáš truly became a child of God. Tomáš has grown tremendously in the past 6 years and has taken some important and difficult stands for Christ in his life. He now serves as our songleader and is truly a faithful servant of the Lord.

Though raised an atheist, Tomáš had recently come to a belief in God before I met him. Though he believed in God, he had very little knowledge of the Bible. He and his girl friend agreed to a series of Bible studies. For several reasons, I chose to do a salvation study using the Gospel of Matthew. This approach worked well as I was able even to utilize the geneology found in Matthew 1 to build a base of Bible knowledge especially concerning the person of Christ. Tomáš was in church almost every week and continuing in Bible studies. Two months passed and on May , 2002, at our home, the Lord impressed me to see if he was ready to be saved.
